And Ruth said, Intreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee: for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God (Ruth 1:16).
These words are often used in wedding ceremonies to describe the commitment needed in the marriage relationship and this they do. But it must be noted that Ruth says this to her mother-in-law Naomi.
Many have lamented the current break down of the family in America. We need a renewed commitment to the family as the building block of society and we need individuals to recommit to the family of which they are a part.
Do you have a family member with whom you need to re-connect? Do you need to take some action to heal a broken family relationship? There is little more in this life more important than family.
