Unto That Glory

At Second Corinthians Three, the apostle Paul recalls the radiance of the face of Moses when the latter had been in the presence of God. Moses veiled his face at these times to conceal that radiance. Paul used the veil of Moses to illustrate the failure of many to accept Jesus Christ as the ultimate fulfillment of the law and the prophets. Their disbelief veils the glory that is Christ until they turn to the Lord. At Chapter Four, the apostle noted that they perish to whom the glory of the Gospel is veiled and that it is Satan, the god of this world, who has blinded them unto unbelief and eternal loss. The redeemed and faithful, on the other hand, view the Lord’s glory by faith in the Spirit-inspired Word, and they aspire unto that glory.
