No King but Christ

At the Twenty-Eighth of Matthew, Jesus Christ declared that all power had been given unto Him in Heaven and in earth. Only ten days later, Peter said on the Day of Pentecost at the Second of Acts that Christ was at the right hand of God exalted, that the Father had seated the Son at His own right hand, and that God had made Him both Lord and Christ. At the First of Ephesians, Paul described the Savior as far above all principality, power, might, dominion, and every name here and hereafter. Further, all things were under the feet of Christ, and He had been given to be Head over all things to the Church. At First Samuel Eight, ancient Israel wanted a king other than God. The Kingdom of the Church, however, must recognize no king but Christ.
