To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you (1 Peter 1:4).

The word “inheritance” is exciting. When one is informed of an inheritance, he is eager to know all about it. Peter reveals that there is an inheritance that awaits God’s children. My friends, his description is exciting.

God says it is incorruptible. Our inheritance is not liable to decay. It is not like a house that deteriorates. He also says that our inheritance is undefiled. It is not soiled or stained. Its condition is pristine. Lastly, he describes it as an inheritance that will not fade away. Riches are soon gone. Cars eventually quit running. Our inheritance will never fade. It is perpetual, forever.

This inheritance is sure, guarded by the heavenly forces. Yes, it is reserved in heaven for you!
