There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it (1 Corinthians 10:13).
God’s children can bear every temptation that comes. A bold statement? Yes. How can it be said with confidence?
“God is faithful.” In every temptation God gives an escape that will enable one to be victorious over the temptation. The escape may not be clear. It may involve a difficult choice. It may be difficult to take. But, it is there.
Every man will face temptations. They are common to man. The rarity comes when man actually trusts God and finds the escape He has provided.
