Daily Lift – December 09, 2015

And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. (Mark 13:13).

Our Saviour Jesus Christ did not seek disciples by making it appear it would be a “easy,” “bed of roses,” “peaches and cream” life. Jesus lived on earth (John 1:14). He felt the pain and hatred of enemies. He was betrayed by a so-called friend. He was humiliated before the world – and at the same time was sinless.

The apostle Paul wrote Timothy that all who live godly and righteous WILL suffer persecution (2 Timothy 3:12).

In Mark’s account of the gospel record we learn that we WILL hated for the way we live, the message of salvation we speak, as well as just being different from the world.

But friend, never forget we can be victorious (1 Corinthians 15:57). Heaven can be our final abode.
