Did Just That
At Second Timothy One, Paul the apostle expressed joy for the genuine and unpretended faith that dwelt in at least three generations of Timothy and his family. In his third epistle, John expressed joy for the truth that dwelt in Gaius and that the latter walked in the truth. The faith and truth in which Timothy and Gaius walked are inseparable, for Paul wrote at Romans Ten that faith was the product of the Word of God, while The Savior expressed at the Seventeenth of John’s Gospel that the Word of God is truth. Interestingly, while Paul said at First Corinthians Thirteen that the greatest Christian evidence is love, he also noted there that love rejoices in the truth. Regarding Timothy and Gaius, it appears that Paul and John did just that.
