Greatest Healing of All
It was at the Ninth of Matthew’s Gospel that the Savior healed a palsied man. However, He did so in order to demonstrate that He also had the power to forgive the man’s sins. The physical healing was indicative of the more important spiritual healing, and it is the latter of which we read at the Fifth of James regarding confession of sin and prayer for the healing of forgiveness. At First Peter Two, we learn that the Lord’s sacrifice of Himself upon the cross was necessary to make such a healing possible. We may take advantage of it by becoming dead to sin in order to live unto righteousness. We are healed by the Savior’s sacrifice as a result. Jesus Christ healed many of various diseases and afflictions; but that of the soul is the greatest healing of all.
