Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up (James 4:10).
One of the great contrasts in the Bible is that of pride and humility. Someone has said, “The smaller we are, the more room God has.” An humble spirit is one of the beautiful traits of the follower of Christ. How different from the world where men seek to be served! In the Kingdom of Christ, “whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant” (Matthew 20:27).
As we humble ourselves before God,we will submit our lives to His will, serve Him, and serve our fellowman.
When our earthly sojourn is complete, exaltation shall come in glory. “And so shall we ever be with the Lord” (1 Thessalonians 4:17). What exaltation!
