But Naaman was wroth, and went away, and said, Behold, I thought, He will surely come out to me, and stand, and call on the name of the LORD his God, and strike his hand over the place, and recover the leper (2 Kings 5:11).

Naaman was a great man in many ways. He was captain of the host of the king of Syria. However, he had the deadly disease of leprosy (2 Kings 5:1-2). Upon receiving the hopeful news that there was a prophet in Israel who could cure him (by the power of God), he finally arrived at Elisha’s house. However, instead of Elisha personally meeting Naaman, he sent his servant to tell Namaan to go dip seven times in the river Jordan. Naaman became angry. He already had it figured out how he would be healed! He said “Behold, I thought.

How many today refuse God’s plan of salvation, because they want to be saved their way? Jesus says; “He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned” (Mark 16:16).
