Daily Lift – July 31, 2015

Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you (Deuteronomy 4:2).

The practice of man since the beginning is the changing of God’s Word. Think about it. How did the serpent tempt Eve to sin? He did so by changing God’s Word. The effect of such is still felt today.

Man never improves things by changing the Word of God. The confusion in religion today is largely based upon man’s unwillingness to accept God’s Word as it is.

One wants things to be this way, another wants things to be that way. Thankfully, we can go to the Scriptures each day and choose to accept them as they are. Thus our lives will be as God would have them to be…Scriptural!
