Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life (Proverbs 4:23).
Many people are poor at guarding their hearts and minds. They will allow any negative thought, emotion, and anxiety inside. But, by doing so, they are making their lives much more miserable for themselves and those around them.
Here is the bottom line: What is in the heart of a person governs the direction they go in life. In the words of the old adage, “We become what we think about” (Proverbs 4:23; Matthew 12:34-35).
Make every effort to put more positive and productive matters in your heart and mind (Philippians 4:8) and then watch sweetness and satisfaction flow through your life. God has guaranteed it.
