In His Throne
At the Twentieth of Matthew, the mother of James and John asked the Savior for her sons to sit at His right and left hand in the Kingdom. The Lord first of all replied that she did not know what she was asking and secondly that it would be His Father, not Himself, Who could grant such a thing. He Who would be given the greatest seat of honor would be Jesus Christ Himself. At the Second of Acts, Peter referred to David’s prophecy that God would have Christ to sit at His right hand. Because Jesus is at the right hand of God exalted, that prophecy has been fulfilled, and the Father and Son are at the right and left of one another. Yet, at the Third of Revelation, the Lord promised that those who overcome will be granted to sit with Him in His throne, even as He overcame, and is set down with His Father in His throne.
