Daily Lift – March 13, 2016

For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day (2 Timothy 1:12).

Christians too often are ashamed. We may not be ashamed inwardly, but we shy away from being bold and open about our faith. While we should always be respectful of others, that does not mean we should be silent with our faith.

The reason Paul was not ashamed was his conviction. The apostle was convinced that he would receive the promised reward. Since God never lies, Paul knew that what had been promised would be his in the end.

With that knowledge, Paul could face every day with conviction and boldness. If we are living a life of faithful obedience, we should be able to know the same truth as did Paul. If you are convinced, you should be hopeful and bold!
