Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding (Proverbs 3:5).

How much do you really trust God? That question may offend you, but the writer of Proverbs gives a challenge in teaching us to “trust in the Lord with all [our] heart.” All? Really? Shouldn’t I hold back part of my heart, in case God is not really faithful?

Absolutely not! We must trust God with our all because of the chasm of difference between His knowledge and ours. I cannot “lean on [my] own understanding,” simply because I do not understand everything. My knowledge is limited, and my wisdom is finite. God’s knowledge and wisdom are infinite. He knows all, and He knows best.

If we trust God with our all, our paths will be straighter, brighter, better, and eternally blissful.
