To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven (Ecclesiastes 3:1).
Solomon did not mean there was a suitable time to sin, but simply that life has a way of falling into place. It is good for us to think broadly as this passage calls us to do. In the process of making the big decisions, we also acquire a resolve in so many little ones and life is better.
King David prayed, “…Teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom” (Psalm 90:12). This prayer comes immediately after David pondered, “The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years….”
