Had Seen the Father
The human body is composed of various parts, and each performs a distinct function. Yet, to touch a person on the hand or arm is still to touch the person. Much the same is true of the Godhead. Whether reference is made to God the Father or Christ the Son, both are Lord, and each serves a distinct function in the relationship of Deity with humanity. One example of this principle is seen at the Third of Colossians, where Verse Seventeen shows that prayer is to be offered unto God, and through Christ. Though the Divine Father and Son are distinct, they are inseparable as one. At the Fourteenth of John, the Savior taught that to know Him is to know the Father, and He that had seen Him had seen the Father.
