Grace and Truth by Christ

Click here for the audio version

At the Twenty-Second of Matthew, the Savior declared that all the law and the prophets hung upon the love of God and fellow man. This is because the Mosaic law dealt first with man’s relationship with his Creator and secondly with his relationship with other people. Because no mortal ever perfectly kept the law, Paul noted at the Third of Romans that no one could be justified by the law, for by it is the knowledge of sin. On the other hand, Paul wrote at Galatians Two that justification does come by the faith of Jesus Christ. According to the Tenth of Romans, that faith is one’s ideal response to the word of God, while the Second of James indicates faith to be demonstrable only by works of obedience. While Paul noted at the Second of Ephesians that man is saved by grace, he noted also that grace comes through faith. As is written at John One, the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.
