Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and
if there be any praise, think on these things (Philippians 4:8).
Benjamin Franklin said, “An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.” As children of God living in a world of darkness (1 John 5:19), it is a challenge to maintain a heart of purity.
Thus, in Philippians 4:8, the apostle Paul provides us with a dose of prevention when it comes to spiritual health care. He wrote, “Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue, and if there is anything praiseworthy, meditate on these things.”
