Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them (Ecclesiastes 12:1).
Young people are the last ones to think that they do not have plenty of time. They pursue things that are temporal in nature because they are often enamored with “youthful lusts” (2 Timothy 2:22).
Ironically it is in the strength of our youth when we have the most energy to serve the Lord. Therefore we should heed Paul’s words to Timothy, “Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity” (1 Timothy 4:12).
The one who remembers their Creator in their youth will be remembered by the Creator when the years draw nigh, and pleasure
wanes.
