The Way

If we should become lost while enroute to a chosen destination, we might ask another if he “knows the way.” That the way is referenced as singular indicates belief that there is but one, and not many. Ironically, Christianity is referenced more than a half dozen times in the book of Acts as a “way,” singularly expressed. Though the ancients recognized the way established by the Savior as but one, it was only by error and misguidance that other ways would be accepted and followed. It is shameful that greater care might be taken in the mapping of one’s terrestrial destinations than in making sure his arrival to his eternal home. If one wants to know the way there, he should consult the One Who established the way, and Who directs His own therein. The Savior said, “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No man cometh unto the Father but by Me.”
