A Few Will Find It
While the Savior illustrated judgment as dividing the sheep from the goats, He spoke at the Seventh of Matthew of those who entered the strait gate and of those that entered the broad one, and the two are quite opposite. For example, between the southern coast of Spain and the northern coast of Africa is the Strait of Gibralter, while the eastern coast of Russian Siberia is separated from the western coast of Alaska by the Bering Strait. Both are narrow passages of water, and the Lord emphasized that the way to life is narrow also. That broadened way to destruction is trod by most. However, of the way to life that the Savior repetitively described as both strait and narrow, He declared that only a few will find it.
