Oh to be a recipient of the special blessings of God! Notice the Author of our blessings “the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.” Second, we have the attribute of our blessings, “spiritual blessing in the heavenly places.” The agency of our blessings: “in Christ.”

What ultimately mattered is that people had it in their power to meet God’s criteria to enter His family. They repented of their sins and were immersed for the forgiveness of those sins.
