Daily Lift – February 11, 2016

I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me (Galatians 2:20).

The apostle Paul was a “dead man walking.”

He had died to the practice of sin and begun to live a new life when he was baptized into Christ (Romans 6:4; Acts 22:16).

The life that he lived after his conversion was one wherein he tried to be like Jesus.

Though Paul would have fallen short at times, he could still encourage others to “follow me even as I also follow Christ” (1 Corinthians 11:1). The personal love of God for him motivated Paul to so live. May it do the same for us.
