The LORD is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him (Lamentations 3:25).
God is with us even in the darkest of life’s moments. We can find hope in God’s presence in spite of life’s pain. How do we contact God’s help and hope during life’s storms? This verse offers two survival tactics:
1. Wait on God. The word “wait” means to look, to expect, to bind together. When we wait on the Lord during our troubles rather than worrying (which really represents a lack of faith, Matthew 6:25-34), we will be brought closer to God, and our faith in Him will grow.
2. Seek God. Jesus reminds us that all who seek will find (Matthew 7:7-8). Paul preached that we should “seek the Lord … though he be not far from every one of us” (Acts 17:27).
