“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me
(John 14:6).
When Jesus said “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me,” He was proclaiming simply and powerfully the exclusive nature of the Christian religion.
The sacrifice of Jesus’ life for our sins was a profound and singular act of God’s love (1 Peter 1:18-19).
To say that there are other ways to God in addition to the way of Christ is to diminish the power of the death of Jesus on His cross. The religion of Christ is not one among many acceptable ways to approach God and to get to Heaven. His way is the only way.
