Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest (Luke 10:2).
Jesus said these words to His disciples at a time when He knew there were many ready to hear their message. We sometimes wonder if that time has come and gone as so many are hostile to the simple and pure gospel (Romans 1:16).
We must remember that God allowed Jesus to taste death for every man (Hebrews 2:9). God wants all men to be saved (1 Timothy 2:4). We do indeed live in different times, but we have the same work to do.
We are blessed with the opportunity to labor for the harvest of souls. Let us be about the “Fathers business” (Luke 2:52).
